Back Office Support for Nonprofits

You didn't start a nonprofit
to manage the back office.

ICNU handles the operational work that steals your time and focus so you can lead the organization you serve.

You did not start a nonprofit to be its bookkeeper.

You started your organization to serve a mission. The back office is the part that quietly drains the energy you need for everything else. That is where we come in.

  • See your numbers clearly so your board and leadership can make wise, confident decisions
  • Stay grant- and audit-ready without the last-minute scramble
  • Free up hours each week for mission, relationships, and the work only you can do
  • Walk into board meetings prepared with reporting your board can actually act on

What to expect

"When you reach out, you hear back. Not a ticket. Not silence. A person who knows your situation and has an answer."

That is the standard we hold ourselves to.

Start where you are.

There is no lengthy onboarding, no complicated contract, and no pressure to commit to more than you need. Here is what the process looks like.

01

Complete the intake form

Tell us about your organization, your team, and your biggest financial challenges. The intake form takes about five minutes and helps us confirm the right tier and pricing before anything is finalized.

02

We confirm the fit

We review your intake, confirm your pricing based on the formula, and schedule a brief call to make sure expectations are clear on both sides. No surprises.

03

We get to work

Most clients are fully onboarded within two to three weeks. From there, we stay close, stay responsive, and handle the back office so you can lead the organization.

Choose your level of support.

Each tier builds on the one before it. Start where you are. Move up when you are ready.

A Note to Executive Directors

I know this world because I live in it.

I am the Executive Director of Qavah Ministries, a 501(c)(3) my wife Pam and I built from scratch. I remember filing the 1023 and the particular joy of opening the Determination Letter. I tried one accounting platform, learned its limits, and switched to another. I learned the hard way that Florida requires annual registration with the Department of Agriculture if you solicit donations from Florida residents.

You are talking to someone who has sat exactly where you are sitting.

Nonprofits are different from businesses. Your donors give because they believe in the mission, not because they receive a product or service in return. Your board members are often volunteers with deep commitment and limited availability. Your budget is almost always tighter than your vision. And the weight of stewarding other people's generosity faithfully is not something every back office consultant fully understands.

I do. I have spent thirty years in financial leadership across corporate and ministry settings. I have helped organizations stay audit-ready, navigate grant compliance, clean up books that were handed off in chaos, and build systems that survive staff turnover. I know what it costs to carry a mission. And I would be honored to help carry it with you.
